MARINO PAOLO OLIVIO

Paolo Olivio, better known as “Marino”,  was born in 1959. He has begun his apprenticeship in Murano in the early 70s. From the beginning he has shown a special talent in the production of goblets, vases and traditional pieces typical from the 8th to the 18th century, using all the ancient techniques such as mosaic murrina, filigree and rods.

In a few years he has proven to be a true talented artist thanks to his extraordinary production of fine and light pieces such as the famous “reticello”. After a few years, he began his collaboration with Maestro Davide Fuin producing high quality pieces belonging to the Venetian tradition of the seventeenth century. Many of these now belong to the most important museums and private collections in the world.

After this experience that lasted about ten years, Paolo Olivio has worked for a few years at Seguso and is now one of the main artists of  BF SIGNORETTI glassworks, where he produces exclusive and unique pieces, always according to the ancient tradition of Murano glass art.
