Paolo Birello was born in Venice in 1960. He graduated in 1978 in Venice and began to cultivate a passion for glass. In 1982 he began his experience on the island of Murano, first working in an artistic chandelier furnace, then in the world of lampworking where he experimented with his propensity for design.
In 1997 he opened his first artisan workshop bringing it through multiple technical experiences to artistic collaborations exhibited in various art galleries around the world. He exhibited his works on the occasion of the “Glass to use” project at Palazzo Ca ‘Zanardi in Venice in October 2010. He exhibited together with nine other Venetian artists at the 2011 Art Biennale in Seoul (South Korea).
He is the founder together with a group of artists of the Association of Glass Artisans Masters (AMA) created to safeguard an artistic / cultural heritage such as that of Murano glass processing and Made in Italy.
